Environmental Success
MCS is proud to announce that we have received formal certification to the international standard for Environmental Management Systems – ISO14001.
All operations carried out by MCS Control Systems are now officially managed in accordance with this standard.
This valuable accreditation provides all of our stakeholders with the proof of our total commitment to making every effort to protect the environment and work within the interests of sustainability for the future.
Our policy is to minimise pollution, use energy more efficiently, reduce waste and dispose of the remaining waste more effectively.
It is a known fact that cost savings can be made through improved efficiency and productivity, but we now have the mechanisms in place to actually achieve these. This will not only benefit MCS and the surrounding environment, but also our valued customers and end users throughout the UK’s industrial and utilities markets.
All of our employees have received comprehensive environmental awareness training and are wholly committed to supporting our policy.

This event is becoming an ever increasing popular date on the calendar as the exhibitions and seminars held during the day provide key insights to users and designers of Pump applications. |

New Appointment
MCS are pleased to announce the appointment of a General Manager to further support and expand its Northern Operation in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. Terry Stephenson comes with over 20 years in the Systems Integration Industry and has held numerous senior positions. Terry is experienced in all areas of the business including Sales, Project Management, Design, Manufacture, Installation and Commissioning and is focused on building and developing an already successful part of the business. Terry says, "I am delighted to be joining MCS and look forward to working with existing clients as well as developing new ones. I also look forward to developing and growing the Northern operation using my Management experience combined with practical hardware and software knowledge in a wide range of industries".

Instrument Backboards - Design & Manufacturing now in Barnsley
MCS have significant experience in the specification, design, manufacture, installation, commissioning and
calibration of field instrumentation systems spanning most industry sectors. Our expertise covers all types of
instrumentation from simple flow and level through to highly complex analytical instruments and our expertise
includes Hazardous areas.
From simple single instruments to very large and complex analytical instrument backboards, MCS have the
experience have facilities to deliver these systems with minimum delay.
MCS have recently been contracted to deliver a £1m project for Welsh Water's new Cwellyn clean Water Treatment
located in the Snowdonia National Park. The project has encompassed full design, MCC's, LV Distribution, System
Integration and Electrical Installation.
Part of this project, our Barnsley facility have designed and manufactured all the works instrument backboards, an example
of one in build is shown.
MCS can provide "build only" services based on clients detailed drawings and Bills of Materials right through
to a "full turnkey" service covering detailed site surveys, specification, design, build, installation, commissioning
and calibration.
MCS - Northern Expansion
MCS are delighted to announce the opening of a new facility in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
The facility includes a design office and panel build facility which provides additional local support and services
for clients in the region. With excellent links to the M1 and M62 motorways, the operation is ideally located to
provide first class local support with additional support from our head office based in Coventry when needed.
Now, in addition to our traditional instrumentation design and installation and services to clients in the
Yorkshire Region, we now offer local services for; Project Management, CDM, Turnkey projects, Detailed Electrical
Design, Software Design, MCC/ICA and Bespoke Control Panel Manufacture, Electrical Installation and after sales support.

Thames Water Framework
We are pleased to announce that the MCS-GPS Alliance has been awarded the Thames Water Framework Agreement for both Low Voltage Assemblies (Lot A) and Large Scale Systems Integration Software (Lot B). The agreement also includes the role of Principal Contractor for Automation-only upgrades and underlines our ability to provide Turnkey Solutions.
